| Abstract: |
| In this paper, we determine when a 2×2 matrix over a commutative local ring is strongly quasi-nil clean. We provide an effective answer to this question by using the characteristic equation of the matrix. This conclusion enrichs and generalizes the theory of strongly quasi-nil clean rings. |
